Unslip, by KEBERDS, Alberta, Canada. Effective 14 October 2026; updated 16 October 2026 to say where the Android app keeps its files.
What you type stays on your device. Unslip never sends it anywhere and never saves it.
What Unslip looks at
- The keys you press, to find the word you just finished and whether it has a typo.
- Which keyboard sent each key, to judge typos against that keyboard’s layout.
- Up to 200 characters just before your cursor, when the app you’re typing in shares them. Unslip uses them to tell whether a word starts a sentence and whether you’re writing code, then forgets them.
It never reads password boxes.
What Unslip keeps
Only a few small files, on your device:
- Your settings: which keyboard you picked, and whether Unslip is paused.
- How many words Unslip has fixed: just the number, never the words.
- The words you told it to stop fixing, by pressing Backspace right after it fixed them.
On Windows they’re in %APPDATA%\Unslip; on a Mac, in ~/Library/Application Support/Unslip; on Android, in the app’s own storage, which no other app can read. Uninstalling Unslip deletes them.
What Unslip sends
Nothing. Unslip doesn’t connect to the internet: no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
This website
The demo on the home page runs Unslip’s engine inside your browser; what you type into it never leaves your device. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies, not even its font. Cloudflare, which hosts it, sees requests the way any web host does.
